FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Northumberland County, ON – September 28, 2022 – We are pleased to announce that Community Care Northumberland (CCN) is organizing a Volunteer Fair for all local agencies and services within Northumberland County. COVID-19 has had an impact on volunteer recruitment, so it is more important than ever to give back by volunteering.
The fair will take place on October 18th from 11-4pm at the Cobourg Lion’s Centre, where all Volunteer-Based Organizations are invited.
Our community relies on thousands of volunteers across Northumberland County who assist with program delivery, office administration, special events and more. Volunteers are a valued and vital part of local community organizations.
“We know at Community Care Northumberland (CCN) that we couldn’t deliver our programs and services without our volunteers. Volunteering also provides a great opportunity to give back to your community while meeting new friends and learning new skills. With this fair, you will have the opportunity to meet and learn about other volunteer-based organizations and choose the time commitment, location, and volunteer opportunity best suited for you,” comments CCN’s Colleen Williams, Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator.
If interested in having a table, please submit the form and payment to Community Care Northumberland, attn Colleen Williams at c.williams@commcare.ca or volunteer@commcare.ca
Applications are being accepted until October 11th. Download the Application Form at http://commcare.ca/volunteer/ or by clicking HERE. Tables will be reserved on a first come, first served basis.
