Northumberland County, ON – May 16th, 2025 – Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation is pleased to announce that an incredible $64,204.74 was raised during the 2025 Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Week to support Community Care Northumberland’s Hospice Services offered at Ed’s House.

From April 28 to May 4, 100% of proceeds from every Smile Cookie sold at participating Tim Hortons locations in Cobourg and Colborne directly supported the care, comfort, and dignity provided by Ed’s House.

Throughout the week, Tim Hortons staff, along with Community Care Northumberland and Ed’s House staff and volunteers, rolled up their sleeves to hand-decorate cookies with bright pink and blue icing smiles and encouraged drive-thru guests to support hospice care in their community.

The Ed’s House Foundation extends a sincere thank you to Tim Hortons store owners Jen McCall, Brittany Bellamy, and Manager Lisa Olson for their outstanding organization and generous support throughout the campaign.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Tim Hortons restaurant owners Jen and Brittany, along with Lisa and the entire Tims staff, volunteers, and every community member who supported Ed’s House by purchasing Smile Cookies,” said Trish Baird, CEO of Community Care Northumberland. “Your generosity helps ensure individuals and families in our community continue to receive the compassionate, high-quality hospice care they deserve.”

Every cookie purchased, every smile shared, contributed to the success of this year’s campaign and helped ensure that Ed’s House can continue providing exceptional, compassionate end-of-life care to individuals and families across Northumberland County.
