Hike, Bike & Bark Raises $72,840 for Hospice Services at Ed’s House
Community Care Northumberland is proud to announce that Hike, Bike and Bark 2026 raised $72,840 in support of Ed’s House Hospice Care Centre, thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, volunteers and donors across the region.
Held on September 27 at Victoria Park in Cobourg, this year’s event brought together 200 participants, along with over 50 of their four-legged friends, to walk and ride for the families and individuals who turn to Ed’s House for comfort, dignity and support during life’s most difficult moments.
“This was my first Hike, Bike and Bark as CEO, and I was blown away by the community’s spirit and generosity. Seeing so many people, and their dogs, come out to support Ed’s House was incredibly moving. Every dollar raised helps ensure that families in Northumberland can receive compassionate hospice care close to home. On behalf of everyone at Community Care Northumberland and Ed’s House, thank you.”
– Jordan Prosper, CEO, Community Care Northumberland
Funds raised will help to cover the integral end-of-life care that Ed’s House provides to its residents, and their families free of charge.
Community Care Northumberland and Ed’s House extend its sincere thanks to CPS Wood Products, the first-ever Presenting Sponsor of Hike, Bike and Bark, whose support helped make this year’s event possible. Thank you as well to our many sponsors, the volunteers who gave their time, and every participant who raised funds and took part the day of.
Each year, the event’s top individual fundraiser and top fundraising team are recognized with their names on a plaque at Ed’s House. The sterring committee would like to offer a sincere thank you to this year’s top INDIVIDUAL fundraiser Mary Doig, who raised $3,270!
